God has blessed me with a schedule that has allowed me, along with my wife, to homeschool our five boys since 2010. She has told me many times that if I weren’t available, she doesn’t know how she’d manage all of the schooling. But maybe your husband works away from home; you have many children, all at different ages. Homeschooling can get difficult, especially as the older ones approach the upper high school years. Yes, they can do the readings and other work on their own. But do you, with several other young children, have time to keep up with the more advanced readings in the upper years? Or do you just find the material intimidating?

I can help. I love to read, and I love to discuss books and ideas. Scripture, theology, philosophy, history, literature, poetry—these are my constant meditation. In addition, for those of you to whom this sort of thing matters, I have completed the Master’s certificate in Classical Christian Studies at New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, ID.

I offer private tutoring (online or local) in the humanities (or traditio). This is not a set of pre-recorded lectures, nor is it group classes or webinars. This is one-on-one discussion, wrestling together through the great works we have received from those who have come before us.

Tuition is $50 per weekly 55 minute session, when paid monthly. Or, $60 for a one-time session.
